I didn't say that I don't like the doors just that the staircase makes them look ordinary.

The staircase is obviously quality and bespoke but those doors can be bought anywhere. I could be wrong but the 55mm oak spindles probably cost £20 each and the doors £80 each which means the total cost of spindles alone would be more then the total cost of the internal doors.

I would like to have seen some panelled doors to match the panels in the newel posts.

Yeah your not far off price wise mate I think the spindles were £20+vat each and were bespoke and I think the doors were around £90 from Jewsons, both nice but the staircase is a bit more one off

Did you make the staircase or just install it ?

The stairs themselves were made in a friends shop and all the oak components were bought in from a specialist stair company separately by the client, I then machined and fitted all the components to the stairs on site. The install took around 6 days altogether
