An boat entrance I made 2 months ago.

This project was quite a challenge. First I had to make a mould that precisely matched the curve of the boat taking into account the thickness of the door frame for the other half of the mould. Next I steamed thin layers of wood and I put them in the mould to let them cool off and take the shape of the mould. Once the wood was cooled off I glued everything together with epoxy. I had to repeat the entire process for the upper curved part of the door.http://imgur.com/a/2RBqy

This was a rebuild. The old door and door frame were almost completely rotted away.
