That true joiner1970
you dont have to have a full sized cutting table
but for the way I work I find it more efficient having a 4 by 8 table ( if theres space )
There is less chance of the off cut falling off and most times there is not enough space on a table as it is
I don't like putting my tools on the floor, normally i have my ts55 out with a jig saw, router and a domino
Most of the case work i do is 600 deep so the more space the better
also some were to put my cordless, the nail gun glue and screws.
If the room is large enough one side of the table is for track saw/assembly and the other for the miter saw.
A full sized table also helps when making your own moldings
I guess if you have a 3 by 6 table you could always put a full sheet on and then work off that but in the past ive done that and had problems placing heavy case work on the table and the table tilting .
When working with thin sheets on a smaller table they dip down and you don't always cut the whole way through.
but anyway thats just my opinion
