Another domino problem

I got most of the way through a cabinet build today.  Thanks to everyone who supplied domino pointers.  I'm now cutting perfect joints.

In the process of cutting a lot of mortises today, my domino developed a problem.  It refuses to switch off.  Whatever position I put the power switch in, it continues to run.  I got around this for today by switching off the power source somewhere else. 

I'm hoping that this is pilot error and there's some hidden switch somewhere that's locked on.  But I can't find one anywhere.  And besides, why would there be another one when the power switch on top can lock on.  Maybe some sawdust got into the switch?  Seems unlikely.  The dust collection is nearly perfect.

It's a DF 500 Q.  It's the one with the black plastic stops, not the metal pegs.  It's practically new.  This is my first project with it.  Although it did sit in a box for two years before I used it but I can't see how that matters.  It's never been dropped or damaged in any way.

Any idea what's going on?

Get straight on the phone to Festool service - they'll sort you out in a flash.

That's not a "typical" problem and using it without the proper power switch could be a little unsafe!

Might be a silly question, but have you checked for dust and detritus under the switch mechanism?

I thought about that.  I tried to blow it out, but it didn't fix it.  I guess it's possible.  But there's not much sawdust to get stuck under there.
