Ok so I tried this. Yes it comes on with a light touch but goes off as soon as you release. On my Makita units when the light goes on you can release the trigger and the light stays on for about 10 secs which is very useful when you are poking around inside cabinets.
This is the only weakness on an otherwise excellent drill.
