Just wondering if there was any more information from Festool about the 20th anniversary special edition offerings.

When I first read your post I thought it was a typo, since they had 90 year anniversary edition tools 3 years ago.
But then I found this:

I was puzzled as well when I got the email from ToolNut with the specials linked to this promotion.  Sadly, the NAINA products remain firmly NAINA!  They could have at least brought back an emerald green MFS for [member=44099]Cheese[/member] !  [tongue]

So it looks like they are throwing in the upgrade for free on some of there more popular offerings.

The systainer deal looks pretty good. Too bad we know that systainer³ is on its way.

LOL...Raj... [member=21249]RKA[/member] I love that MFS and am completely surprised at its flexibility. I purchased all the rails including the 2000 mm versions and interestingly enough they are the only rails I've yet to use. I did however purchase the 2000 mm versions knowing that in a pinch, I could cut them down to the length I need. Kind of like keeping a few very straight 16' cedar 2 x 4's in the garage just in case.  [smile]

I do think that Festool should have offered blue Sys 1, Sys 2 and Sys 3 containers with their Systainer offer. That would have generated more enthusiasm for the package.

I actually need another sys cart, which brings the additional cost of that systainer stack down to $250.  The toolbox isn’t that useful, but I could find a use for the rest, particularly that sortainer.  The only issue is I would need yet another sys cart.  What did someone once say about multiplying systainers?

Ya, I already have 2 toolboxes so that's a meh. I have enough Systainers so there needs to be something else there to draw me in. Like you, I do need a Sys cart and the sortainer would be nice to have, however that totals $270. The real question is do I need to spend $350 for some additional grey Systainers that I already have? Now if they were blue...It's kind of like that home made fudge at Christmas...that's the draw.  [big grin]

Maybe their needs to be a "subway card"  systainers come with a card, and when you get 5 of them, you can cash them out for a sys-cart.

Systainer Husbandry?  Is their a way to breed them in captivity?

Absolutely...You just have to be able to distinguish the male versions from the female versions and isolate them when necessary.

I'm in for the cart and sorttainer.  The rest are just "well 4 systainers for ~100 is not a bad deal."  It would be more interesting if they were another color for quicker identification.

I contacted Atlas Tools and Machinery to see about the Canadian distribution of this edition and this is what I got back:

"Thank you for reaching Atlas.

I can confirm that we will be taking part in the Emerald Edition Campaign, however the details of what kind of promotions/pricing you will see is still under wraps until its release here in Canada and I am unable to guarantee pricing with you at this moment in time.

Once they are released, they will be found on our website, and I am sure we will be sending out and email blast once available.

Feel free to reach out to us should you have any further questions or concerns, or contact our Festool Sales Staff here directly at the store.

We hope you have a great day,
Kind Regards,
Holly"

So there you have it fellow Canadians. We should see pricing soon.

Well, the free edge guide was enough to push me over the edge on the 1400. With lots of routers, there's none I like better than my OF-1000. I'm hoping I fee the same about its big brother.

What, the ones that are all dodgy heights and don't really work properly together?

Err riiiight. Someone was asleep at the wheel when they came up with those and it would have been so easy to get it right.
