Does anyone in North America have any leads on a RAS 115 (120V), ideally at the US$200 closeout pricing? Crossing my fingers....

About a month ago I saw a dealer in Columbus, Ohio had three of them, but full price.  I think it was WoodWerks at 1181 Claycraft Rd. If not them, it was Woodcraft at 1077 Bethel Rd.  I saw no clearance prices on any Festool items at either store.

If you know anyone living in Canada, check out Altas Tool and Machinery.  They have it at $299 CAN which is (I am guessing) $230 US.  However, they cannot ship to U.S.  If you don't have any relatives in Canada, don't look at the ad because you may cry.  They had even better buys two months ago, and I placed an order just to have it cancelled.  I thought it was a ban on lithium batteries coming across the border, so contacted them and they said Festool does not allow them to sell to the US, even though they advertised as doing International sales.  So it is a Festool rule.

Thanks for the assistance! I too have found some full price (or close to) options but have a little time before I need it so holding out for a better deal. FWIW I too considered the Canada option though the "international" shipping is typically obscene across the border. One of the bigger rackets going.

Not all dealers offered discounted pricing when Festool announced the 115 was discontinued.

Very few had them at the $200 level, and even that was short lived.  No harm waiting if you don't have a use for it now, but I'll wager you're not going to find one at that price again.  That's the kind of sale where you buy it the second you see it and figure out what to do with it later.  Almost as good as the hundred dollar pro5.

Amen to both of those propositions. I needed a RAS 115 so I paid full list...couldn't be happier. If you just want one then you can sit on your thumbs and wait. Maybe you'll be lucky...maybe you won't be.

Very similar to the MFS situation several years ago, sit on you thumbs and wait or become proactive and purchase some existing stock. I preferred the latter and I find it's become one of my most used Festool products.

And then the PRO 5 option came around. It literally took less than 30 seconds for me to recognize that this was the deal of the century.
As they say...strike while the iron is hot.  [big grin]

+1 on the RAS. I am glad I bought one before they were discontinued in N.A. I have a lot of sanders and they all have their uses.
