Anyone Know About Leigh D1600 Dovetail Jig?

There are some future projects for which my wife wants some dovetail joinery.  Some years ago I purchased a Leigh D1600 dovetail jig and it saw some limited use and I have not used it in years.  I looked for some YouTube videos about set up, use, etc... and mostly found videos about the newer Super and Pro models.

My only recollection about using the D1600 is that it produced lots of chips and dust and I did not have a dust collection solution for it at the time.  Same with the Leigh FMT I bought and used a bit.  Anyway, are the Super dovetail jigs essentially the same as the D1600 or has Leigh just improved the jig such that I should consider replacing the D1600?

About the same time I posted this question I sent a message to Leigh support thinking they were closed and I might get a reply next week. However, within a half hour they responded with the following information about the differences between the D1600 and current versions of the Leigh Dovetail Jigs:

" The D1600 was replaced by the Leigh Super jigs. The D1600 has the same versatility as the Super Jig, however the super jigs do not have the same robust machined aluminum body as the D1600. The Super Jigs were designed to be lower cost to produce as compared to the D1600.

The D4RPro is an upgraded version of your jig, with greater thickness capacities, and split fingers for variable size pins
."

It looks as if there is are no differences in how the jigs function, other than the additional capabilities of the Pro jig. A few YouTube videos and reading the manual should help to get the work done. Apparently, a dust collection attachment is available for the D1600, the VRS16, which I'm shopping for now.
