Curious if anyone has tried the 3M 8 inch net discs on the Planex? Blue or Cubitron. Considering the Planex has a 9 inch pad.

I love the dust collection on the Cubitron net 5 and 6 inch with the hand sanders, seems like drywall sanding with them would be a no brainer.....
Just don't know how it would impact the outer exposed 1/2 inch on the Planex pad. Or interface pad actually. And how the discs would last on drywall? Especially if the surface isn't smooth to start.

I'm considering pulling the trigger, just wondered if anyone else had already tried it?

Why would anyone ever use a 20% smaller disc on any sander?  [huh]

You can say goodbye to your interface pad, that's for sure too. I wouldn't be surprised if it leaves burnmarks on the drywall either.

Because I like those discs and that's the largest they offer.

To be honest, I was hoping someone would say they were slightly larger than spec'ed and just fit the pad or something along those lines. Crazier things have happened.
Or someone ordered them and "no way, they're too small".

Always good to get other peoples input, in case you miss something.

I was thinking of ordering just to test fit, but they only seem to come in large quantities and I'm not looking to waste that much money on a long shot.
