Anyone use the Kreg Deck Jig?

Mark,

I have used it a couple more times.  If you have any questions, let me know!

Peter

I just found this yesterday (thanks FWW for the online mag versions now!)

I can't figure it's place. Still just a jig with clamps and you use your drill. How is it any better than the master kit I got from kreg?

I wouldn't recommended buying it.  It takes a lot of effort and time, plus you can see the dang screws at the right angle.

I always try and use a hidden fastener from Tiger Claw.  You may want to check out the Camo system but, still seems slow.

Not sure if you've looked at the youtube videos, but I can't see how you would use the Master Kit in place of the deck jig.

Ah, the ad didn't make it clear it was for decks , just thought it was for pocket holes.

That'll teach me to read more carefully.

+1.  I just wish Festool would bring their system in.

Are you a contractor or a hobbiest?

If you are a professional you are out of your mind for considering the system.  I cant think of a slower way to put down decking.  Get the tiger claw gun or the hid fast system and be done.

If you are a hobbiest with a lot of free time and a hatred for your knees/back go ahead.
