Just do not like the slower speed when lowering the torque setting. And it has some kind of "soft start" really feels like the battery is exausted.
However,I do love my old c12.
Also,i don't think i will get another Festool jigsaw.(even if the carvex makes it here)
I really like the dust blower on my old Bosch.
Your drill shouldn't have a soft start. You might want to call Festool.
I don't think it is but it somewhat feels like it.My old c12 doesn't do it.Never used a drill with that effect.
That was another reason I got it. I also have a Kreg router table that is the same hight as the MFT3 and I will be setting the Kapex between them. I was going to get the UG extensions for the Kapex but took them off the order at the last minute.sancho57 said:I bought te Kapex stand b/c when it sets between 2 MFTs it sits at the correct height to use the MFT3s as a Infeed outfeed table. The Kapex fences (old design) are designed to sit on the MFT 3s for inffed / out feed fences.
Though I haven't used this set up yet. I want it available to me in case I have a production run. I also am making a router table that will sit inbetween the MFT3s when the Kapex and Kpaex stand is being used in this config.
I think it will speed up my production tremendously. It will also not take up to much space in the shop.
The height of the Kreg router table is adjustable.sancho57 said:See great minds think alike [big grin]
I didnt know the kreg router table is the same height as the MFT, Good to know. Ill have to look into that. Ill have to check out the dimensions.
Now route in the small kreg clamping plate (get the one with the clamp) in the corner of the router table so you can use it as a clamping table for the kreg jig too.
I try to get a variety of use out of things as much as I can.
Oh the router table/ clamping table I made also doubles as a shelf that rest on the cross members below the MFT3. I can set things / systainers etc on it then when I need it, set it inbetween the 2 MFTs and drop the router plate in it.

I have a D-handled Milwaukee from my contracting days. Also have the Festool jigsaw barrel grip.
My problem with the D-handle top grip is that i am short (and shrinking). the top handle seems clumsy to me as i have to raise my right arm much higher than is comfortable when working on any of my work benches. It becomes especially high when working on MFT/3.
