Are you going to be at the woodworking show in Atlanta

I notice that Festool is scheduled to be at the Woodworking show in January that is hosted in Indy. But, I did not see Festool scheduled for the show in Atlanta. Are you going to be at the show in Atanta, if not, is it because Indy is so close to your headquarters?

Just curious because I am thinking about heading up to Indy if that is the only location that you will have the demo booth.

Shawn, we will have a Festool guy at the show in Indy but he will be hanging out with the guys from Woodcraft Indy. His name is Larry Smith. We will not have a corporate presence at the show here or in Atlanta. However, we will have a corporate presence at IWF in Atlanta (http://www.iwfatlanta.com/) in August.

At past Woodworking Shows in Atlanta, Dan Durrant, the regional sales manager from Festool has been at Highland Hardware's booth doing demos.

Bob, I checked with Dan and he said that he didn't think Highland would be at the show this year.

Well that's a bummer.  Though I can't say I'm surprised, seeing how their competition puts up huge displays and brings tons of product to the show for sale on the floor at discounted prices.  By comparison, Highland brings some machinery and hands out certificates for $20 off on a purchase at their store, which requires attendees (many from out of town) to schlep to downtown Atlanta to visit their store.

Highland was there last year, but I did not see them on the exhibitor list this year. This show has gotten smaller every year and we just lost our last dedicated woodworking school.

I am looking forward to IWF this year.. though there is always rumor this is the last year in Atlanta.. turnout last year was really small.
