Attaching Kapex UG Side Extensions to MFT/3

Can the UG side extensions be directly attached to the MFT/3?  This would be very similar to the Biesemeyer system for the Delta miter saws; making it easier to rip & cross cut large pieces on the MFT/3.

The thumb screws are very close to the clamp rail. A little reshaping of the thumb screws may be in order.
