Hi,

Looking at a couple of extremely affordable attic lid sys 2s in the UK which I'll have shipped to my parents in the UK then to me. I figure it at not much more cost than a standard sys 2 and I can throw some other stuff inside the sys.
Just checking if i am not missing a trick for obtaining these in US by other means.
I have read past posts here that mention the part numbers and they are sold in the us but cost around the same without the actual systainer. Also aware of the Tanos version but, well, you know.

Only started buying Festools last year and one of the immediate benefits for me was the systainer system. After buying a vac, saw and sander black friday I found a couple of great bargains on craigslist and got a lot cheap systainers. I'm not far off 50 but i have never been this organized in my life, no more rooting through tool boxes and storage totes for a tool I'm not sure I have anymore. Now everything stacked, stored and labelled.
I only wish I could bring this order to the rest of my life.

The attic lids used to be available from Tool Nut but I believe that is no longer the case. That option went away about 12-18 months ago.

They are probably still available from Festool through their ekat replacement parts system. However I believe the price was in the $65+ range for just the cover.

You can find the parts on EKAT still and then contact Festool directly.  There is not a complete assembly available but you can make up the parts you need to get you where you are going.

I sell Tanos SYS-II with attic lid.  Only in Anthracite at the moment.  Past Systainer Sales, when I was clearing stock from Tanos USA, had great deals on lid sort trays.  The upcoming Spring Systainer Sale doesn't have any though. 

I can get light grey version if desired.  I can't get Festool versions, just Tanos branded items.

Yes, that's what i thought. Thanks all.
Looks like systainers are on sale at half price in the uk to make way for the systainer3, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have it shipped.
