Is there anyone in the north Jersey area that has a bandsaw capable of resawing 8-10"?

I need two pieces of 2" thick walnut resawed in half.  Normally I would use a router to surface the board, but I would rather not turn half of this beautiful piece of wood into router shavings.  The two pieces will be 8"x20", the board below is getting ripped in half.

I'm flexible, send me a message or reply to the thread

Any help is much appreciated.

Vinny

Edit:  I'm in Morris county

Google maps puts me at about an hour away.

A 14" Jets bandsaw for $250 on CL slipped through my fingers the other day.

I will follow up with you soon, if I don't find someone closer or just end up buying a bandsaw.

Don't sweat that miss... $100 more for a riser kit; $30 more for v-belt upgrade so the motor doesn't slip or shimmy.. add a good resaw fence and such for another $100+... and don't forget a quality resawing blade.. $35.

Then you finally can resaw 8"-10".  At approximately 20-30 minutes per board (it is slow going with that thickness)

I sure hope it's not 20 to 30 mins. I just ordered a 3/4" Lenox Tri-Master Carbide- Tipped blade from Highland Tools. I had my 1/2" for 15 years and just pinched it cutting a PVC pipe in half. MISTAKE. New blade $175.00 delivered. !/2" cut black walnut short logs like silk.Guess that's what you're paying for.
