I also own a Laguna LT18 and love the saw -- it is smooth operating and I would buy again. The new ones come with a Baldor motor which is awesome (I upgraded my 2001 model to the Baldor this year and I am very pleased with its performance). I have always received great service from the folks there too. I agree with others that any of the Italian machines are going to be great machines and should serve you well.
