So, I took to visiting largely as a guest. The reason? Because I was tired of having to carefully search through the new postings to find stuff actually about festool. Turns out, guests don't see the off-topic forum, which suited me just fine.

Alas, this has failed. Now I have to carefully pick through through the rules bullshit to find the festool postings, and being a guest doesn't help that one. Between that and the endless Kapex kerfufle, it has become largely hopeless. (I'll admit at least some of the Kapex stuff is on-topic, outside of the finger pointing about who said what).

I post this here, off-topic, because clearly these posts get read, unlike something about tools.

I agree with you about the off-topic stuff getting too much prominence.  Unfortunately, some of it is necessary.  I've tried to delete posts that could be described as adding to that "hopelessness" you mention!

The Kapex stuff might be occupying a lot of space lately.  However, the Kapex is a major tool release, and there does seem to be a lot of problems with it.  Therefore, those posts are relevant to this forum.  The forum is only a reflection on the realities of the tool.

Although it's common practice in many forums, several people have complained about the fact that I listed the banned and "restricted" members.  One member even suggested legal action against me for doing so!  As ridiculous as these complaints are, I've decided to remove the list, which had appeared in the first post of this discussion.

Even without a listing, you will know who has been "Restricted" because that designation will appear under the member's name in forum posts, and in the member's profile.

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to know who is banned or restricted.  Thanks for deleting the list.

Most of the time, a forum doesn't NEED a ban/restricted list.  However, we have a unique situation here.  A group of dishonest individuals (let's call them Total Freaks) has been coordinating with each other to spread various rumors.  One of those rumors was that I'm banning anyone who belongs to the protest site.  To stop that rumor, I provided a list of everyone who was banned from the FOG, showing that all the people claiming to be banned were lying.

But now I think the point has been made, not only about the rumor but about the purpose and mission of the protest site and the dishonest individuals who run it.

napapaisip kasi ako... some former active members here suddenly became quiet?? are they banned o nagbabakasyon lamang?? or :goodnight: joke... natutulog lang,,, hehehe
