Barrel vs D Grip

I think the main reason for variable speed, on a jig saw, is essentially the same as it is a track saw.
Most of the time, it will get used at full speed, but there are instances where slowing down is beneficial. Thicker/harder materials, like steel, fiberglass, Corian, 8/4 Maple, etc all react better to slower cutting speed and feed rate.

Variable speed 'trigger'.

My brother got convinced by the Festool rep to try the barrel grip. He bought a PS 300, no more D-grip ever since. When he moved out I got a PS 300 as well.

Is that back-forward blade whobble solved yet for new Carvex'es? Probably not..

It is not, at least not by Festool themselves.  I sold my corded Carvex and got a P1CC instead.  I kept my cordless Carvex for demolition work.
