Had a reply from Mark Miller the president of Hagar tools, they are very interested in doing something. The delay in replying was due to not being able to get in their warehouse due to a fire. Luckily their unit was not damaged but they couldn't get access.

Ok Richard, I've passed Tom at intelligent workshop email on to Hagar tools as Tom has offered to help. They've not contacted him yet but I imagine they are busy when we have news it will be posted here.

hy guys, i have looked at the price in us $ 399. that's around £249. they weigh in at 53 pounds that's about 24kilo's just under what a bag of cement is in the UK . i would like to see the shipping and the tax cost on 10 or more if this doesn't look like a starter i  may look into getting a friend of mine to have a look in the USA , shame as they post most places for $25.00. in the u.s. has anyone on here looked at the test carried out on these benches they look pretty strong so i am sure they would ship okay, well lets hope tom gets some news soon , i cant see virgin letting me get one of these as  carry on.

We need to get more organized - shipping a container full would be cheap per bench ;D
I used to buy wine by the pallet here - 600 bottles - and transport was free for that quantity [tongue]

Guys things are happening don't worry. I've been talking to mark at Hagar tools who make the benches and he has promised to talk to Tom at intelligent workshop about putting something together. He just seems to be taking his time as Tom still hasn't heard anything. I know Tom has a shipment of other tools coming in from the US so it would be handy to add some tables to it  [big grin].

I might have to chase Mark up again.

yes i saw the $299 and the add said from $299  so i looked on and read $399 maybe that price was with the accessories not sure  perhaps like you said it was the upper price and the lower retail price, that was at home depot ,  i think i would like the extra shelves and peg set as they are not that much extra in the scheme of things, you would think someone would take a shipment of say fifty and i am sure there would be a good few shopfitters that would like one of these around .

Yeah its $299 for the starter package which is what we are going for if you read the start of this thread a lot of people agreed to make it simple we will order the basic table.

Let's just see what happens , once we know more about prices after shipping it here and taxes etc .

It never did come to anything. Tom at intelligent workshop said he would help and I emailed the benchmark people and tried to get the two together. Benchmark were very interested in doing something but tom was then busy with other stuff so it never happened.
