Best European/Cup Hinges Today?

Pulls are the jewelry on cabinets.

No woman needs earrings, but wearing them completes the picture.

To me, cabinets seem incomplete without pulls.  (Unless they have inset drawers with hand cutouts.)

My kitchen cabinets feature Amerock die cast cup hinges.  I don’t know where they fit in the quality department.

When I moved in, I decided to add pull-outs for the tall cabinet that housed the wall oven.  Apparently I have a 24” wall oven (which I never use) that was fit into a universal cabinet that could accommodate a 30” oven.  The stand-offs for the drawer pulls would have been about 4” on each side.

My solution was to add a strip to the face frame and use brackets to attach to the rear of the cabinet.  It has been in place for nearly 30 years so “reliable” works as a descriptor.  I don’t know that I would do it the same way again.

The 3/4” thick stock is about 1” wide and I cut clearances for the hinges.  I think it was more work than necessary, but it has worked well for years/
