Hi all!  I'm in the market for a new TS55.  There are no local dealers within a 2 hr drive from me at the moment, so I'm looking at ordering online.  Looks like pretty much everyone has the same pricing on them, but I wanted to see if you guys new of anywhere that might have a good sale going either with a discount or some extra accessories included for free...  TIA!

Dealers in the US are required to sell at the same price, no special sales or freebies on accessories.  This puts the focus on service as opposed to pricing.

All of us are always here to help, answer questions, or give advice.

It may depend a bit on where you are too.  Tool Nut has to charge sales tax in NY and VA.  Bob Marino charges it in NJ/OH.  Both have good reputations.

[member=63477]indyjumper[/member]  Exactly as stated above, Tool Nut, Bob Marino, I have also used In Touch Tools in Palm Desert, CA, depends where you are and how fast you want your goodies! You might also check with your dealer about swapping the normal TS rail with the LR32 version, in case you think you might be doing some shelf pin holes down the line...  with fixed pricing on everything festool, it's hard to get a "deal", I have gotten a couple of stickers with my orders!

(Personally, I would stay away from CPO and Factory Authorized Outlet. Just my feelings about how they do business--)

I am lucky enough to have two fantastic local dealers.  Unfortunately both maintain 8-5 M-F hours that don't always work well for me.  I tend to buy from whichever is convenient at the time.  One has a limited line, the other has a much more complete line.  When I order on-line I use FestoolNirvana, they have super fast, free shipping to me.  They also will build custom assortments of sandpaper!  Contact [member=29369]Chip S.[/member]  he will take great care of all your Festool needs.

Woodcraft is another good source which I've used, both in person and mail order. Two small indie shops near me have started selling Festool recently, so I feel lucky to have shops in my "neighborhood".

Bob Marino.

Swapping out the rail for the one that does shelf holes is a wise move!

I have purchased a lot of my Festool gear either through my local Woodcraft (they are a stocking dealer, and know the product), but if I order online it is through Bob.  I know there are other quality dealers, but Bob has never let me down.

Bobmarinosbesttools.com, the toolnut, and shopfesool.com.  I've used them all and I would recommend them all to anyone looking to buy online.  Great service all around.

I am sure that you meant to write "used"... but what showed up is amusing to me!

Would love to see a list of member dealers by LOCATION, with the time of day for same day shipping listed.

Sometimes you need a tool in a hurry, and ground shipping that is significantly closer to you can make a significant difference, especially if it ships the same day as ordering without incurring a "jump the line" fee.

If you really need it in a hurry, then it'd certainly be faster for you to drive across the bridge and pick up what ever you need in NOLA. There's a huge tool dealer on the northwest side of the lake that carries this stuff.

I'm unaware of your business - who & where you are? What you stock?

For example - PMC is in Hammond, but doesn't stock drills - so you can't go look at and feel them to compare with other brands.

Also - sometimes it's a loss of a day to stop what you are doing, get cleaned up, and drive an hour each way.

My point is that it would be nice to have a thread with member dealers listed by location so that we can be aware of just who IS near us, how much of the line they stock, and what their same day shipping deadline is - so we can decide whether to go there, or to order and maybe get it the next day.

My guess is that the OP would love to know who is near him too!

We are located in New York. Orders received by 2pm Eastern are usually shipped same day, sometimes even a little later than that. Free shipping on all Festool orders.

I just picked up a gently used TS 55 REQ from Craigslist.  The saw was only purchased in Oct 2016 (as his receipt indicated).  Apparently, he used it, then decided that he really wanted a TS 75 instead.  I paid over $200 less than MSRP.  Per our local Woodcraft store, feeling underwhelmed with a TS 55 is fairly common.

I realize that buying used isn't for everyone, but it may be worth looking around.  You may get lucky.

PMC - those are the guys.  Maybe they don't have drills but they do stock Festool stuff.  They did when I was there a few years ago.

You cleanup to go to a tool store ??? That's a waste of time.  And while the two hours drive time is real, I'll bet you spend that doing other non revenue producing tasks during the day, so it's just a matter of planning.  And if the need is IMMEDIATE then two hours is the price you pay to get to the revenue producing task.  How much opportunity cost is there in waiting two days for the UPS man to deliver somewhere you might not be when he shows up ???  You can't compare a tool in the flesh via the internet either.

How long do you think it will take to compile a list of where online vendors are located along with their ship by policy will take ?  What kind of loss do you suppose that would incur for the time someone spent compiling that info ?

Even if you had that list , I doubt you'd find any combination that would get you a tool next day without paying the huge surcharge for next day delivery.

That said Shane's outfit is well organized and uses UPS which is well positioned for delivery in the SE USA.  For me, they represent the fastest delivery of the usual suspects.  Even faster than using one the largest FT e-tailers , which is only 20 miles up the road from me and practically next door to the UPS headquarters.  Go figure.  But that has little bearing on the delivery time to somebody in another location.

Bottom line is you're going to have to vet different dealers yourself to see which one has the operation that delivers fastest to you at your location.  Your safest play would prob. be to use Amazon after joining Prime to take advantage of their "free" two day delivery perk.  There are simply to many logistic variables to make a list like you're asking about of any real value .

Another plug for Bob Marino.  Although prices and product are the same no matter where you buy I will say if I have a question or problem, the service I get from Bob is amazing. Not sure he ever sleeps !

I bought a vacuum set I was not overly happy with. Even after 30 days he was willing to take it back and use it in his own shop. I ended up keeping it but was pleased with his whatever it takes to make you happy attitude.

This page doesn't answer all your requests but it's a start.

Another plug for Bob Marino.  Thorough service, day or night; fast, and I mean fast turn-around (all my orders have been received in 3 days or less, & I live in the country in Mississippi); and packing that you simply will not believe!  Good job Bob!
