Hey everyone.  Need some help in deciding which spare blade to purchase.  I have a TS 55 and am looking for a spare blade.  I have the fine tooth saw blade (495377) which came with the saw.  I am considering the triple chip blade (496309) which focuses on solid surfaces, melamine, etc.  I have occasional laminate, melamine, and solid surfaces to cut, but I mostly cut wood.  I would only use the spare blade while the main blade is out for sharpening.  Does anyone have any feedback on how well the triple chip blade cuts wood?  Thanks.

There is really few blades for the TS 55. Mine came with the Universal blade 28 teeth.

Do you plan to rip in thick wood? If so get the 12 teeth or panther 14 teeth.

The TCG is a nice configuration if you really need that flat surface cut IMO.

Or are you looking for a different blade brand?

My cuts would generally be limited to sheet goods (3/4" max).  Not looking at different brands because I did not know that was an option.

I would suggest you talk to your sharpener. He will know how you treat your blade and should be able to sell you the right tool.
