I have the subject saw and know others here do too. I had a bunch of hardwood rip cut to make and since I have a 56 tooth blade in the track saw I used my cordless 24 tooth XSH08 on the track but not so good dust collection. So when I had some time I looked at what other blades were available for the Makita plunge saw. There are three. Surprised me that none are rip blades and non have the same kerf!

What have others done for:

1) rip blade?
2) kerf differences? (shims ?)

Did you ever get this sorted?  I'm probably be moving to said saw in the near future but was under the impression that like a TS55, the kerf diffeences should only appear on the waste side.  Amana makes some rip blades (14T ATB, 28 Deg) that should work with any 160mm track saw.

If you flip the inside arbor washer, any 165mm blade with a 5/8" arbor will work. This opens the door to several Makita blades with the same kerf thickness or just about any 6 1/2" blade if you don't mind trashing the splinter strip.

Yeah - I did this years ago and added some milled washers to make it work but moving the cut line is a no-go for me (I have other saws I also use on the rail).
