The midi I bought earlier this year had the newer 27/32mm hose with a straight connector at the vac end.ChuckS said:The midi includes one anti-static suction hose 27mm × 3.5m (1 1/6" × 11'6") with angle-rotating adapter on the extractor side. The hose for the CT15 is now also anti-static.

The price Tobiasz listed for the CT15 seems to include those tubes while his CT MIDI price is for the bare tool. The bare tool CT15 can be had for under $/€ 300 in Germany. Which is a great price, all things considered.
Snip.

OK. Now it's clear to me that we were not comparing apples to apples in terms of prices. If a MIDI were really that cheap compared to a CT15, who would buy the latter?
The same folks who bought the CT 17 before ... actually the CT15 is a way better deal than the old Nilfisk OEM CT17.ChuckS said:OK. Now it's clear to me that we were not comparing apples to apples in terms of prices. If a MIDI were really that cheap compared to a CT15, who would buy the latter?

Also, you may not be aware, but it is illegal to manufacture and sell (home use) vacs with more than 700W power in the EU ... so a LOT of CT 15/CT MINI sales now go for home use. That is why the SET was introduced is my guess. It includes the essentials for using the vac in home out of the box.
I myself plan to get the CT15 next year. Will swap the bottom with my CT MINI bottom, so will get a minimum-size CT15 at home and a CT MIDI in shop. For home use I do not need the hose garage and never fill the bag before needing to replace it (smell from decomposing fats). So the "CT15 MINI" will do well here while I will "free" a CT MIDI for shop use.
I may*) still go CTLC MINI instead for home use, but the size of a MINImized CT15 is tempting.
*) The only thing bothering me about the CTL MINI for home is the cable not retracting, a CTLC could fix that but at a bigger footprint.
The battery vacs have the battery compartment on the back. Making them deeper. Plus one needs to dedicate some space for the chargers.Tobiasz said:There's an size difference between those units?
50% value of the Festool vacs is you can use the Festool bags. Do not even think of "3rd party" bags. It loses the point of buying a FT vac in the first place.Tobiasz said:Guys what kind of bags you recommend so I will not bankrupt
mino said:Just make sure to NOT use the "clean" lever in the CT Midi when you have a bag inside it. The shaking damages the bags and they leak more afterwards. It is also completely unneccessary with the Self-Clean bags.

Frankly, if someone asks me, I'd recommend getting two CT15s over one MIDI, and placing one CT15 nearby where dust extraction is needed in lieu of using BT. Even the CT26 doesn't come with BT, and you need to pay extra if you want it.
Ct15 - 352 usd
MIDI - 466 usd without plastic pipes (I will borrow them from wife old extractor if I will decide)
Mini 440 usd with pipes
All in $ Cdn

CT-15 with AS hose??? but still definitely not the smooth one. The price difference on the other side of the Atlantic keeps surprising me. CT-15 to CT-Midi I is going from 320 euros to 440 euro's here. The hose alone makes that worth it.
Absolutely ... and it damages the bag so it will lose its filtration ability. This is important if one wants to re-use the normal bags *), or if one uses them with a cyclone.Coen said:mino said:Just make sure to NOT use the "clean" lever in the CT Midi when you have a bag inside it. After using the lever... suction is often increased massively...
Stick with OEM, they're worth it.Tobiasz said:Guys what kind of bags you recommend so I will not bankrupt

I know it seems odd to get excited about a dust extractor, but when you put it to use, you'll wonder why you waited so long.
