Blum Process 32

I've been doing some research on the true32 method of cabinet making and came across Blum's Process 32 manual. seems like a couple measurements given in the manual don't line up with their specs on their Tandem drawer runner specs, in terms of screw locations. the date on the Process32 manual is back in 2004.  does anyone use the Process32 anymore or  is it no longer in use?  thanks.

Dunno, but unless you are setting up to make 32mm cabinets professionally,  I doubt it's worth the trouble to try to figure it out.  32mm systems do save time when dialed-in to maximum efficiency, but for the occasional job it can be easier to use the shelf pin holes for shelf pins and drill the slide and hinge holes where you need them and install with regular little screws.

Woodweb has many threads on optimizing 32mm production.  I doubt Festool is even mentioned in any of them. It's all done with boring machines and CNC.

It seems to me that the 32mm Blum Process is still alive and well.  One thing you might want to think about is that many (if not all) of the drawer glide manufacturers space their glide mounting holes on the 32mm standard, but use different increments between holes.  When I line-bore a cabinet side, I first consider the glides that I'm going to use, then line-bore so that the glides can be used anywhere (that it makes sense to do so).  Shelves don't care, but glides do care.  I prefer to use 5.5mm square drive drawer glide screws from McFeely's so the the holes don't get messed up by standard screws.  YMMV...

There's a PDF available online for a shelf-pin jig that is no longer sold. The manual is well written and illustrated though.  It's called the "Kurka jig".  Worth a look.
