Boom Arm

Hi everyone, I am new to FOG and would first like to say how much I have enjoyed reading all the wisdom that is passed on on these threads. My question is, can I connect a Boom Arm to my CTL22. I did ask Festool UK this question a couple of days ago but so far I have had no reply.

aye lad, the boom arm was always designed to be used with the ctl-22.

if you use the search function on the forum, you will find a wealth of knowledge with regards to the boom arm and ctl-22.

there is a seterate boom arm i think for the ct22 and 26. i dont know how different they are but there is a special one or at least a different handle or something

I can see how having a boom arm would be very nice, but I'm not sure what advantage there is to a purchased one over building one for a fraction of the cost.  Someone sell me on this, why buy when you can build something like this?

if you want it portable then buy . if you only want it for shop use then make. some members have built some very noce boom arm set ups

I suppose it depends on how you value your time, and whether you could build one as well as the Festool-made one. For me, I couldn't be bothered to build one, and I don't think I could do a good job if I tried, a decision I haven't regretted for an instant.
