I just bought an ETS EC 125/3 with a 150mm pad. It came in a new Sustainer 3 and the brake works perfectly with the larger pad. I also have a Pro5 which was my first Festool. Now that I have the EC is there any point in keeping it?

I have the same sanders as you.  I would keep the Pro5 in case you ever need to sand something really quick without breaking out the dust collector.  I don’t have a workshop that allows me to do this easily so when I have a small job outside I’ll use the Pro5.

Depends on what work you might do in the future.  Maybe keep it around as a dedicated drywall sander, provided you are just doing spot fixes rather than entire rooms?

The Pro5 is selling for around $200 on Ebay even used. I plan to upgrade to the ETS EC 125 at some point and will sell my Pro5, but my main sander will probably always be the ETS EC 150/5.

That ES-ETS/C accessory looks great.  I'd keep my Pro5 for it.  Too bad it doesn't attach to the ETS EC 125 as well.

Agreed - why they haven't introduced a version that will fit the ETC EC range is baffling given it's the flagship sander in the range.

LOL, I feel Like the OP should have their answer. If I had an ETS next to the newer ETS EC Id have sold it until this accessory came along. Now I probably would keep it for use solely with this, while knowing I have a back up sander if the EC goes wrong.

It's a super handy item, and I'd love something like this with festool quality and easy of use.  It's a shame it doesn't work with the ETS EC sanders as I'm definitely not buying an ETS just to have this accessory. I don't need any more back up 125mm sanders :(

Oh, we all know how Festool rolls!  I can even see it coming...

When they see how well this $200 piece of plastic sells and revitalizes the ETS 125 line sales, Festool will develop a different form factor EC-ETS/C-125 and then a EC-ETS/C-150.  We might even get three RO versions after that!

There's gold in product specialization!  Got to get all the accessories!
