built ins. just finished

Kreg,

Looks great as usual.  You are one busy guy -- it seems like every week you have pics of a new project -- that is awesome!

Thanksscot and Eli.  Yes I keep pretty busy but I also work at it always handing out my card and talking to people.  If you give out 10 business cards a day that is 3,650 a year you will get business

Yes -- I remember seeing a video of an install Kreg did on Christmas or Thanksgiving last year (cannot remember which), but he was working late.  Kreg -- I agree, it is a numbers game -- the more effort you put into marketing, the more likely it will pay off.  Of course you have to deliver a high quality product which you no doubt do!

Kreg, another wonderful piece.  BTW, what was the height of the ceiling and base cabinets?

I like the way the oak in the built ins compliment the floors, it shows continuity.  Well done! [big grin]

Nva-  base was 30". Which is my usually base height. And the tops were 75". Ceiling was 9'

Waho. I see your in the valley. I grew up there from 1957 to 1980. Went to ghhs  lived in north ridge

Thanks everybody for all the compliments!!

I am in providence ri at the Jlc construction convention. And just to prove a point I was having an ice tea at this restaurant and was sitting at the bar struck up a conversation with this guy

I asked him what he did. Sales and then he asked me. He said he was thinking about getting some built ins done and was going buy some standard cabs and bookcase and add trim to fill up the space. I said it would look like crap in his nice house. Showed him these built ins pics on my I phone. He said wow....(this part is funny). Is that bead board on the back?  (lol)

Yep !  Wow that looks great. Explained the difference for what he could have custom made  and said let me have your card and I will have a friend of mine who lives in Richmond va call you to set up an appt to discuss this project !  He got his card out ASAP!!

That's how I do it day in and day out don' happen every day a lead like this but it does happen just talk to people!  And share

Now anybody lives in Richmond email me if you want this lead and if you can do this project I will give it to you !!!

Day in and day out sell and share

And yes I worked last Xmas for 12 hours to finish a project at some people's house they were out of town till 6pm that night and my kids live in ca So had nothing else to do

Great story, believe it or not I have gotten more leads than I thought imaginable just talking to folks in the leash free at the dog park.
Thanks
Tim

That's always been where I come up short, I'm just not a people person.  It'll limit how far I can get in this biz.

Ohh, I now see where I'm going wrong, I keep swearing at those people with their dogs off the leash. [doh]  I don't even like dogs on their leashes.  I'm going to run for cover now.

Ya, well I am not winning any prizes as Mr. Congeniality myself...however the ladies think that my dog is cute so I suppose it makes it easier them to talk to me. As long as I can blame the burping and farting on him I am good to go.
Like the Dog Whisperer (Ceasar Milan) says, you get the dog you need.

I am lucky that way, (but I know what you mean [wink]) probably because between my son and I there is enough gas to blow the place up -  we don't need another contributor!
