Buy Boom Arm Only or the Set if I Already Have the Handle?

I already have a CT26 with the handle.  I see that the boom arm set is only $50 more than the boom arm only and the set includes a handle and tool holder.  So, it seems like I would be better off buying the set even though I already own the handle.

Should I buy the boom arm set and try to sell the new handle or am I missing something?

Buy the set! I didn't and regretted it. I also had the handle and just bought arm only.  Sell handle or keep it for the next unit you buy. I am at 3 units now and have handles on 2 of them.

Or you could make your own.

I built a separate boom arm using the base of a heavy office chair, some aluminum tube and heavy ABS pipe.  I like this setup as i do not need to have the vac close to my work area.

I am so glad that I have seen this picture - I was getting depressed about the way I left the workshop last night  [smile] - actually it looks a lot better than mine did at 10 pm last night - I have worked late on a project and had to climb over things to get to the door.

Great boom arm idea.

This sounds interesting.  Pictures please?

Since I made my last boom arm I needed one for the new mft to be portable. Lucky I have lots of rods and holders, just clamp on and go, adjustable too.
