Cabinet for shoes

Hi all,
I build this cabinet for my friend. Is made of soft maple and  birch plywood. Panels are beaded face frame style. Top is glued 3/4 solid soft maple ,mitered frame is one inch thick.  Also I did finish. Any comments welcome!Thanks for looking.

Very nice.

On the beaded face frame, did you make the mortise plunge cut first and then miter the corner?

What finish(es) did you use?

Here is finish process:
1. sending up to 180 grid with ETS 150/3
2. custom oil base stain
3.  one coat shellac Zinsser bulls eys seal coat 
4.  two top coat with M.L. Campbell magna max high performance pre catalyzed lacquer semi-gloss
5. sprayer Fuji super 4 gold HVLP

I used Kreg PRS1200 Precision Beaded Face-Frame System works fast and great!

Yep nice cabinet and that Kreg jig works well for doors. Thanks for sharing

I agree  [eek] Great looking finish on the cabinet.
Did you mill that stock yourself? Just curious what type of wood that is.

All of them is Western Red Cedar, we used exclusive Red Cedar for our products! It is family owned business.

Nice project Frank.  For the door frames, did you cut the domino slot before you routed the bead?  Not sure how you could domino the slot after the bead was routed is why I ask.

Yes, I cut slot before routed the bead. I used 5x30 mm domino. One piece 15mm deep and other 20mm deep. Also is possible  cut slot after the bead profile is done! It is little tricky and take more time!
