So I have been playing around with the idea of moving my family and doing a couple year long move. I am able to work in Canada or the U.S.
I install custom cabinets in high end housing and I am wondering what the job market is like on Maui.
I have contracted for the last 12 years and wondering if most positions would be piecework or hourly on the island and I guess what kinda income guys make here. If you feel comfortable discussing wages or earnings please pm me. Thanks a lot guys.

Are you sure you'll be able to handle the weather change? [eek]

I'd be as or even more concerned about the housing costs.  Plus just about everything you'll buy during your stay will cost more than you're accustomed to because it's got to be shipped over from the mainland.

It's good work if you can gt it though.

Contact Ron Paulk.  He grew up in Hawaii and is there now on vacation with his wife.

Thanks will have to contact him. I am vacationing here. Costs are actually very comparable, gas is actually considerably cheaper in Maui than what I pay at home. I'm actually just kinda concerned about wages not being what I'm used to. We are just starting to entertain the idea so wouldn't happen this year probably.

Yeah if you convert what we pay for gas in my town it would be just over 4 dollars a u.s. Gallon
