Does anyone use any CH HVLP turbines?  I'm thinking of getting into HVLP if I can make enough room for a spray area in my basement shop.  Jerry's fine manual has sparked my interest (hope he gets a nice commission for those).  I'm a hobbyist building furniture for family, friends, etc.

I've always used General Finishes Seal A Cell and Arm R Seal for my projects and I love the result.  Easy to apply and tough to screw up (big plus for me  :D).  However, I'd love to get similar results without the fumes and volatility of the oil finishes.  Being able to apply a complete finish in a day or two vs a week + would be a huge help too.

So, are the CH HVLP units worth it?  They appear to be about half or less the cost of a decent 3 stage unit by Fuji, Apollo, etc.

Thanks,

i have one. the spray gun is cheap.i don't like it.at first it was ok,but then it gets clog up pretty quick.the needle gets stuck, and it keeps on spraying, even when you let go of the trigger.i'm going to hang on to the turbine and get a fuji spray gun or something similar.i would spend a little more and get something better.please do more research on spray equipment before you buy.

Thanks for the 1st hand info.  I had a feeling it's the old "get what you pay for" deal there.  I guess I'll have to wait on HVLP then and stick with the wipe on oil/varnish.
