I have a bit with a 3/4" shank.  I have a number of Festool routers and one of those routers I own is the OF 2200.  Is there some way that I can use a 3/4" shank bit with that router??

Thanks for your help.

No.

AFIK there are no hand held routers that can use a ¾” shank bit, certainly not the OF2200

An engineering shop might be able to help by turning at least part of the shank's diameter down to 12.7mm.

From everything I can see you do not have a router bit. It’s probably a mill bit. You don’t say anything about the profile.

If it looks something like either of these 2 photos, then it is an end mill fabricated from High Speed Steel. HSS milling bits don't last long when used in a router because of the high RPM.

For example, for milling aluminum the first bit (3/4") would be turning around 1000-1500 RPM, however in a router it would be spinning at 10,000 RPM.
