Carvex barrel jig saw not working

Just got this saw, in mint condition, But cannot get it to run. The light comes on, but all I get is a little clunk sound from the barrel. Am I doing something wrong  or is the unit busted? Thanks for your input.

Is this a new unit or a "mint condition" used unit?

You might want to check with Festool about if there is warranty coverage based on the serial number.
