Centipede and Foam

I'm wondering if anyone has used the Centipede saw horse has a temporary/portable sheet goods breakdown station with foam.

Right now, I use 4 saw horses with two or three 19mm sheets of plywood to keep things "flat" and a piece of 1" foam on top of that. When in the shop, that stays setup and wastes a lot of space because it's heavy and such a chore to breakdown/setup. With the Centipede, it seems like I could eliminate the plywood and have a featherweight system between the Centipede and foam. I'd have no reservations about setting up and breaking that down as it'd be quick and lightweight and I'd free up a ton of space in my relatively small shop.

Thoughts?

I just use a grid of 2x4s laid over two sawhorses.  When I remember, I put down a layer of 2" foam board.  Most of the time I don't bother because I'm using the Parallel Guides.  The one mod I'd make the next time would be to move the outer two long pieces out from center by 6" or so.  This is to be able to set the locking lever on the Parallel Guides without lifting the guides and material.

I also do the grid that Willy (Sparktician) uses. It's cheap, light, easily taken down off sawhorses, etc. Also use foam when I remember but not necessary. It locks in very tightly to the big box heavy duty plastic sawhorses and so is quite stable.

I got a pair of the mini dew alt stands, screwed a 2x4 flat on the top 4' long, then put 4 8' 2x4's to form the grid.  I have a 4x8 1/2" ply, but rarely use it unless I want to do dustless cutting with the TS55REQ.  2x4's are pretty cheap!  Bill
