Changing Lenses on Glasses

Man, thanks RW! I've been tugging at those things for a week, worrying that I'd break the lenses before removing them. Took me a while even with your directions, but I'm now Festool shaded, and ready for the beach.

Unfortunately, however, I noticed that the shaded lens doesn't offer any UV protection. So I'll stick to my Maui Jims for serious San Diego sunlight...

Coming soon: how to get volleyball gals to notice you in your Festool glasses . . .

RW, you really have advice on the above. Oh boy, I can't wait. Please hurry with this oh so sage advice.  ;) :) ;D Fred

Fred, with your back  you couldn't handle a volleyball girl anyway!

RW, as sure fire an approach as that may be, I am thinking of something maybe not quite as subtle?? ::) :o 8) Fred

I'm think n that if you show up with nothing on but a Festool Junkie Banner & glasses Your In!

Scott W, that has worked for you??? ;) Again maybe a little too subtle.  :o Fred

No, here's what you've gotta do: get a cute Golden Retriever, put the Festool glasses on him, walk him near volleyball girls. Instant topic of conversation  :D. What I've discovered, though, is that if you walk by 5 minutes later without the dog, no one will recognize you...

P.S. Puppies work even better...

Whereas the answer to the question was deleted by the original poster, how do you change the lenses in the Festool safety glasses.  I gave away my first pair, got a second pair and really don't want to break them.

Anybody know how?

I have changed mine, it was a little tuff but, I can't remember how I did it.  I think I just went for it!!

The original answer was deleted but Forrest supplied me with the answer.  Here it is:

1.  With safety glasses in front of you - like you are wearing them, put your thumb where you nose would go and gently pry the nose pad piece towards you while pushing the nosepiece away from you.  The blue and green plastic will separate from the lens at the center.  Move that piece to the face side of the glasses.

2.  Turn the glasses so you are looking at the public side.  Hold the right hand lens with your left hand.  Grasp the blue portion of the frame just tp the left of the word Festool and pop the frame up with you thumb.

3.  Do the same with the left hand lens.

4.  Insert new one side at a time until they snap in place.  Then snap the center in place after making sure the blue triangular section goes over the lens to the public side.

5.  Clean all your dirty fingerprints off.  It will get easier.
