hi there.
iv been tiding the shop a bit today and have a upper cabinet (24" square and 8-9" deep) spare . i want to put a charging station and a place to leave my 2 drills  so they are readyt to go.
i am thinking of putting a angled shelf neer the top and screwing the charger to that (maybe a cleat sytem so it can the removed) .
there is 2" trunking under the press so power wont be a problem. im thinking that using a spur and a double socket will be ok. maybe a time if i could find a sutable count down timer. like the ones on a microwave press how many minutes and it stops then.

i thought i would ask , has anyone got any neat ideas for a charging station

thanks alan

Alan one thing I have done with my station in my shop is tied the receptacle to the lightswitch in the shop. If the lights are on the chargers charge. Lights out and chargers  are off.

Alan,

Don't worry about cleats etc to hold the chargers - they already have keyholes moulded into the underside. Just a couple on no.8 pan head screws & job done.

i dont think my dewalt chargers have that. my festool one does

my plan is that if all my drills are on one shelf  (execpt my new set i use for site work) then i can use them  in stead of leaving them in their box and only using one  set

The 18v dewalt ones have a screw hole in them, insert the screw from the top where the battery plugs in.

thats why i was thinking of a cleat system. i could take the charger with me easily and not have to un screw it
