Yeah but I never actually said it was CRAP or rubbish or no good.  All I said it was just a crappy ugly copy of TS55 but loved how it had features the TS55 hasnt got so in a way I was not knocking it I was actually praising it!

So I dont know why every one has gone onto their high horse!   I think every one has kinda ''assumed'' ''imagined'' every one is knocking the tool with out reading what others have wrote.    Well thats what I am assuming any way!  Like Festoolfootstool said im the only one who wrote crap but didnt actually say it was a useless tools.   Like others said I cant comment unless I used one my self!  But still I wouldnt buy one any way.

I'm getting dizzy.  Somebody take me out of this circle!

I am surprised that nobody commented on the saws ability to be locked in the plunged position with an exposed blade.

Peter I dont think you can lock the blade down. What makes you think you can? if that still is from the end of the video the saw has just been plunged for the cut
I can not see anywhere in the video where the saw is locked in a plunged position.

No one forced you into the circle your free to go as you please

The woodstar has an extra arrow in the midlle to indicate the centrthen blade blade fully plunged as well as the front and back to indicate where to blade starts and where the blade ends when fully plunged like TS55.

Wonder why you would want to know where the centre of the blade is when fully plunged.  Trying to think of a use for it....... I can't.

At 2.45 into the video, he runs the saw off the end of the cut and the blade remains down. Had to watch it closely a couple of times but it definitely stays down.

your absolutely right, not only that it says "use as a normal portable circular saw" I would imagine that implies the blade is below the base, of course its lacking a guard.

Well, guess we'll never see that one in the states! :D

Right. The blade stays down as he's picking the saw up.

But it's even easier to see than that. The first, third, and fourth "still" shots in the video show the saw sitting there with the blade locked in the down position and no one touching the saw.

i read thats the reason we dont see wormdrives over here because the guard doesnt cover the blade

Hmmmm, come to think of it, that isn't quite how normal circular saws work. Even though the blade is down in a normal circular saw, there is still a retractable guard covering it. This thing leaves the blade exposed while it's locked down.

I retract my earlier statement in sackcloth and ashes.  [oops] [not worthy]

no i mean look at a wormdrive and there is a good section of blade showing compared to the sidewinders we get in the uk which it is all covered
