Here's the cherry sideboard I spent most of the summer on. The joinery was done with my Domino and the sanding was done with my 150 Rotex and 150/3.

Beautiful design, what's the inlay - maple ?

Nice choice of hardware.

What did you use for a finish ?

Very very nice  8)

That's a great sideboard, Bob.
It would be good to know more about the construction process for the October tool contest. :)

It was one of the few projects that I have built without a set of plans. I saw Kevin Rodel's sideboard in a FWW Craftsman Furniture book and liked it so much I wanted to build it. I scaled it down a little 40" Tall X 60" Long X 20" Deep.

It was the first project with my Domino and I loved it. It makes the M&T process sooooo much easier. But then again, I don't have to tell you guys that  ;). The exterior is all solid cherry and the interior and shelves are cherry ply. The inlay is curly maple (you can really tell on those 1/8" inlay pieces ;D). But you can see it on the squares.

The finish was 5 coats of General's Arm-R-Seal. Pretty much my standard finish. I haven't gotten too adventerous in my finishes yet.

Anything else you'd like to know, let me know.

Very nice Bob!!!! I like it allot. Good luck in the October contest.
