Choosing between Dominos - Videos

Luckily one of my regulars sent me a PM and suggested that I looked again at one of the things that I did. I agreed with his view that it was a safety issue and corrected it as soon as I could.

I can see how this sort of thing can be a potential pitfall when making instructional/educational videos.

I also suspect from memory of the first edit of the video, in comparison to the new one, that the "safety issue" is in reality something most people will do over and over, with no real world repercussions. However, there obviously is a need for you to err on the side of caution when making your videos.

I know we all get annoyed by the Health and Safety people but now and again it is a great advantage to have an independent set of eyes look at what you are doing and point out safety stuff. We all take short cuts or develop our own ways but it is not a good idea to share bad practice.

My late brother who was an accomplished wood turner (doing stuff for Linlay and others) once put his hand into his planer. It got repaired okay and I remember him saying that he was taking a short cut that he had done a thousand times before.

Many thanks.

Peter
