I have a several large panels I need to glue up. Basically joining two sheets of 4X8X3/4 hickory together. Typically I would break down my 3' pipe clamps, splice them together, do the glue up and re-configure the clamps. No more.

The panels are seen only on one side. So, I took 9 sets of wood screw clamps and sank a domino into the ends. I cut a domino into the back side of the sheet just over 3/8" deep. The domino "studs" in the clamps pull from the routed holes in the panels. Lamello biscuits or Dominos line everything up. Thought I'd share.

The two pics show my test sample. The depth of the domino cut in the panel is critical. It must be from the center ensure an even pull and prevent tipping.

Very clever idea. Also nice to see someone else with the Lamello Cantex, that machine had been a time saver of note in my business.
