I have been finishing my laundry room  and my wife wants to add a drying rack. We currently have the scissor stand alone style but would like a wall mounted one. Wanted to know if any foggers have built one and could share pics and ideas.

You could have it flop down from the side like a Murphy bed, or on pulleys and lower down from the ceiling...
Where are you at?

In the cold areas they use boot and glove warmers.
I could picture a dehumidifier in a box that recirculates the air, if you were in a humid area.

Iam in new york. I have seen some that drop down with a pull but don't really like the look of them . The stand alone rack works well but want something I can hide almost like a Murphy bed like you talked about. The room is small so Iam looking for something built in .

I am no expert, but I would suggest that whatever your wife likes the look of is what you should focus on.

This.
Any decent design school will teach this in a first year course.
Any school that doesn't teach this is not a good school.

Hey there!  I just dug up a few photos of a laundry room that I built a few years ago including this drying rack. It was based off of something that the homeowner saw on Pinterest or Houzz...can't remember. Maybe this could add to the brainstorming of yours!

The angles were a bit tough to get great photos but here's another.

How about these lines that pull out and can be hooked on the opposite wall. I have seen those in quite nice designs.
