CMS Insert Key

I use my CMS quite regularly with any one of three different inserts, i.e. for a TS55 plunge saw, a OF1400 router and a PS300 jig saw.  I am always looking for a suitable screwdriver, as I rarely have any, let alone suitably large coins in my pocket, to tighten the two insert clamping screws. The other day, I was looking at sanders at one of the local Festool agents and spotted the below Pocket Wrench II tool there.  I bought one, modified the can opener end of the tool into a nicely fitting screw driver.  I was going to use just a magnet to hold the tool when not in use, but it proved to be less than satisfactory.  A stick on hook fixed that.  I have found that the multi wrench cutout on the tool is also useful to tighten other fittings that I use on the CMS.

I set up a Sys Mini with all of the accessories for the CMS router insert (only on we can get here legally [mad]) I leave a few U.S. quarters in it to use on the retaining screws.

An old screwdriver that had a knackered tip was cut and ground to make a key for the CMS. Fits perfectly.
