Does anyone have any ideas on lubricant for the table surface of the CMS. Not sure if I should be using the same as the cast on table saw or if the aluminium should be treated differently.
Tom two reasons, 1st one is hopefully to stop the wood wearing on the anodizing as you push across the surface, but the main one is to keep the wood moving smoothly and not feel to grippy as you move across the table. Kinda the same reason as polishing your planer table or table saw top.
I wouldn't use a paste wax, which is what I use on my thickness planer. I tried it on the CMS and it was no good at all. Just attracted a load of dust and gummed up.
I have the older Basis Plus and I can assure you that the anodizing is badly worn out on this table. On light colored wood it tend to leave dark stains.
