compatibility - does the CS 70 ST work with the CMS?

Dean

No it can't be used it is to large to fit cms, there is a sliding table for cms maybe someone. Will post a link

ive seen the cms table. ths just looked alot better thats all, and there is 1 on the bay. thanks for the answer

I think you can only use the Precisio CS 50 ST sliding table.
The Festool page says: for CMS-GE.
This table is smaller and a lot cheaper as well.
I use it myself on my CS 50 and it works well, although the table itself is quite small and it's difficult to get a 90 degree angle on the sawblade.
But may be that's a problem of the Angle Stop itself.

Hi Dean
I have CMS with sliding table and extention tables ect.As others have already said, don't think this sliding table will fit CMS

Dean, normally it can't be fitted to the CMS. It has has two plates that mount to the side of the CS70, like you can see in the picture below. I have the standard sliding table for the CS70, and not it's big brother you're talking about, but the mounting is the same. The CMS doesn't have the receptacles for the mounting mechanism, and also, the CS70's legs are on the inside and the CMS's legs are on the outside so they get in the way. And the CS70 is a bit longer than the CMS, 690 mm vs 585 mm.

But I think it would be possible to make a simple jig to fit the sliding table to the CMS. The height is exactly the same so if you made a piece of plywood that on one side attaches to the sliding table's mounts and on the other side fits into the V-groove it might work.

There is also a very nice sliding table for the CMS itself, is that one too small for you?

i was going to use the cms and 0f2200 with the sliding table to cut tenons. Good idea or just buy a domino xl

Probably depend on what size tennons you need.  The XL is pretty dam strong, I was surprised.  So easy & quick.

Trouble is Dean is waiting for the 110v version dom700 to come out

yeah forgot the whole 110v thing grrr

so let me get this right the company that raves sooo much about "the system" has 3 different sliding tables......

Hello all

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread......

I have just ordered a CS 70 EB-Set and the larger sliding table (488059). Has anybody on FOG ever carried out the idea suggested by Alex to mount the CS 70 sliding table to the shorter CMS-VL?
