Completely handmade plane.

Hello, here is a smallish plane that I completed a few weeks ago. I though maybe it would interest some of you hand tool guys.  The iron is forged from an old planer blade. The body was shaped by hand from two 1x4 scrap pieces of oak and maple glued together.

Nice work!  I like the aesthetic of the forged blade.  The plane body, while shaped differently from most, looks very comfortable.

Thanks! I put the blade a little too far forward so there's not much room for a comfortable two hand grip that doesn't partially block the opening on the top. 
I'll make sure to correct that on my next batch.
