Connecting Festool 27mm dust collection hose to non-Festool equipment?

I'm looking to buy a dust collection unit, and think I'm ready to make the step up to Festool. However, I do have a bunch of tools in my shop already that I'd like to be able to keep using for the time being. My table saw has a 2-1/2" OD dust port. My oscillating multitool "fits onto 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" vacuum hoses".

I understand the tool end of the Festool hose is 27mm. Can this be made to work with both the table saw and the multitool? Someone on another forum suggested that this adapter (https://www.dewalt.com/product/dwv9140/tapered-large-diameter-adapter-dewalt-dust-extractors) could work for the 2-1/2" port, but I haven't found anything that would fit the 1-1/4" and 1-1/2". I'm puzzled why there don't seem to be official Festool items. Can anyone help? Or is this just a bad idea?

I have adapted my CT22's hose to fit many non-Festool products using a variety of methods. For some small diameter exhaust ports (like on my Makita quarter sheet sander), I've wrapped the port with a few layers of duct tape until it fits snugly inside the hose end. For my router base dust collector, the hose end fit nicely in the port that came with the system. For my router table fence, I used the Rockler dust rite hose assembly in lieu of the Festool hose since it connects right to the vacuum like the original hose. The for others, I have used different dust collection adapters from Woodcraft. You have a ton of flexibility with not much investment in adapters, etc.

For all the "small" odd ball dust ports I have found that the Cen-tec quick attach works well.  It's not going to work with the 2.5 port but for all the regular smaller tools it works good.

Also the people there are very helpful if you have a special need or help finding the right adaptor.

Also if you have access to (or know someone who is access to) a 3d printer this is an easy and cheap project to design and print.

I like a somewhat flexible filament like NinjaTek Cheetah but it should also be fine in something easier to print like PLA.

Toolcurve and other etsy sellers offer numerous adapters that fit the newer 27mm twist lock hose. I have them on my TS55 (non-swiveling) which is vastly superior to the stock connection, as well as a Dewalt cordless router and orbital sander.

I normally make my own adapters.
Sometimes a piece of ABS or PVC pipe or fitting is a good starting point.  PVC has the advantage that I can cement PVC trim board into it for a big diameter change.
A couple of times out of wood when just needing a reducing sleeve.

Trying to use a jobsite saw with a 27mm hose is folly.  Just buy a big shopvac hose and connect it to your CT when you use it.

Don't know which multitool you have but the festool hose fits the adapters for the Fein , Bosch and Milwaukee versions.

Duck tape (yes I know it’s duct tape) and lot of it. Fixes everything
