Hope this is the right forum.

Just ordered a couple of the 27mm adaptors to utilise the fantastic idea found on here for connecting smaller bore devices to the 36mm hose, but before I buy the 36mm hose...

Has anyone successfully used any other vac attachments (specifically Henry as they're cheap as chips on eBay) on a Festool hose? I'm weighing up buying just a 36mm Festool hose as I need one, or paying the extra and getting the tradesman's cleaning set which includes the 36mm hose and various attachments. This would mean chucking away my large collection of siemens, henry, karcher attachments that I have been using on various incarnations of - you guessed it - siemens, henry & karcher vacs over the years.

I didn't need the angled wand bit on my last vac as it was built into the hose, but I'd be looking to get a henry one as they're metal and cheap and try to ram it into the 36mm somehow.

Ta in advance.

I've also just ordered a couple of these to get my bosch sander and chop saw to fit the hose perfectly by the way. http://www.espares.co.uk/product/es538504/karcher-vacuum-tool-adaptor-sleeve?ApplianceTypeId=1086&ManufacturerId=877 - just cut it at the stop you want to use and as it's rubber it fits perfectly. The large end pops straight over the end of the 27mm hose - not sure about the 36 yet as I don't have it.

190+ views and no recommendations means I'm guessing it's not as easy as I suspected. Have bitten the bullet and bought the tradesman's cleaning kit and will take it from there.

Just rigged a connection between my Festool CT26 and Delta miter saw this last weekend.  I turned the hose fittings on the lathe.

Look for Bosch adaptors - I used the VAC004 on my Bosch miter saw and Dewalt job site tablesaw.
I also recently tried the Bosch 36mm hose, and their tool end is a flexible rubber that also fits Festool 27mm fittings!

Wuffles, im not sure about 36mm hoses and accessories but i do know that the 2.5" shop vac hoses (with friction fit end) will fit into the CT.  that way you can use all your large hoses and accessories from an wet/dry vac

seems like this could be a cool place to post ways and ideas to adapt non festool tools and accessories to work with the CT  like sprior did (very cool by the way)

today i actually adapted an old sander to work with the CT. I happened to have the adaptor in the trailer (from Home Depot) so it only took a few minutes
