Good day

My Conturo KA 65 have been causing a lot of frustration lately. It does not consistently apply the glue to the edgeband and sometimes it applies none at all. There is no blockage at the nozzle. The problem seems to be that the glue just rolls off the edgeband, however it cant be the edgeband itself as is sometimes works perfectly with the exact same band. I have tried temperatures up to 205 °C (normally using 190). Nothing seems to work. Im using the EVA nature glue.

Also, while applying the edgeband it occasionally slips down and goes skew such that it does not fully cover the edge of the MDF. Im pretty sure the edgebander is held correctly so do not understand why this happens.

Any solutions or suggestions will be appreciated!

What type of edgeband?  How thick?  What brand?

Just because the glue sticks in one part of the band doesn't guarantee it will stick on other parts of the band if it's of poor quality/inconsistent manufacture.

Your sagging sounds like a similar root cause to the glue not sticking.

Is this peel-and-stick banding that still has the peel on it?  The "peel" part is anti-stick to the point that I could see it refusing to hold glue.
