Cost of new turbine on CT 26

What would be the cost of a new turbine on a CT 26 if I ship it to Festool. I’m sure it’s been done before I just want a ballpark I don’t want to ship it only to get a shocking price to repair it. If it’s too expensive I can swap it out my self.  But please if anyone knows let me know please much appreciated. By the way in American dollars

Festool, like any other reputable manufacturer, will only do a full repair on your device and quote you accordingly, after checking and testing the device in-house. Festool, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't offer flat-rate repair rates like some other reputable manufacturers do these days.

So even if someone could tell you what labour charges are added to the price of the turbine - if only that has to be exchanged - you could still very well end up with a much higher quote, if Festool finds other defects/faults they need to repair for the device to be deemed safe - by their standards.

I remember seeing "all-in repairs" (overhaul at fixed price) for various Festools on the German eBay-site a few years ago. You may want to check this.

    On EKAT the Turbine is listed at $107.00 USD, just the part. 

  The control board (if I am looking at the correct part) is $117.

Again I know for a fact that someone has gotten there turbine replaced in the last 6-12 months. All I need is a ballpark. Not asking for a solid number just a ballpark.

If you know that for a fact, have you asked that person?

But it means nothing. No one can give you a ballpark. Your vac needs to be examined first, because the way you describe your problem suggests it might not be the turbine at all but the electronics board. Or both. You understand how difficult this is?

          This is in no way an official estimate or diagnosis.  I think that having Festool replace the turbine would probably be $300 +. The part plus shipping both ways plus labor.  . Same for the control board. The part prices are known and you can do a shipping estimate through online shipping service calculators.
